Ross Dress for Less

The young man at the checkout was extremely rude. He was sighing and throwing things around so I smiled and offered to help him take the clothes off the hanger out of the kindness of my heart. Not only was he ungrateful he then starting to boss me around telling me to walk around store to place the hangers on a different rack and do his job for him. He then yelled at the older ladies in the checkout line to take off the hangers to speed up the process. This behavior and attitude was highly inappropriate. I never mind helping out a staff because I worked in retail myself but it is not ok to tell customers to do your job for you- especially the one you’re getting paid to do.

They have had a great variety of Halloween decorations. I wished they carried more in quantity with their plates and glasses they sold. I wanted 8 plates and wine glasses and could only buy 4 of each as that's all they had. If you have great decor please sell more than 4 plates and glasses. I bought all this at different Ross stores in San Antonio. Bought more than this too. Just didn't take any pics of the dishes or glasses. They were gifts. Too cute.

Avoid! Worst treatment ever! Waited in return line with receipt and item for 10 minutes as next customer. Buuuuut, customer in front of me at counter not waited on or spoken to yet (see photo). When I asked the employee observer (doing nothing) was anyone working the return line? Answered “they’re over there” pointing to the several cashiers ringing regular line purchases. After 3rd time she finally said that one right there (a short one on far left). So I asked why didn’t she take returns? Was told she’ll get to it soon. After another 5 min, I snapped the photo to show mgmt if I saw them, and shopped around store with my family for 15 minutes. When I finally came back to the return line, the observer employee yells out loudly, “There he is!”. Apparently she had gotten the cashier riled up in my absence telling her I had taken a pictographs her. Then refused to take my return unless I handed over phone and deleted the picture. Everyone starring of course as I refused to delete anything and was refused service by the cashier. Mgr never appeared and wife and kids were embarrassed and wanted to leave. May file suit over this! Avoid this place. Messy, unorganized and extremely rude! Not done with this yet.

This place is the pits. The cashier was rude, shelves empty, couldn’t get waited on for a return, and then had to park my purchases because they were so slow. There’s a longer version and I will give names to the home office when they are reported for being absolutely horrible. #2 I was in there this past Weekend 9/24/23 and the cashier was so hateful and rude! I am contacting HQ over it is how upset I was. I simply asked if I could possibly get a small discount on a cheap wallet because it had no box. The cashier called the manager and told her over their microphone they speak to each other on and said I was giving her a hard time! The most outrageous thing I have ever heard! The manager was nice and said sorry it wasn't damaged. I said I understand and said TY. I tossed the wallet on top of a few pieces of merchandise that I was going to buy. Just laid it there. The cashier smarted off and said "You didn't have to throw it at me!" I said excuse me (Because I couldn't believe it!) There was a large line by then that was creating a scene. She was snooty and in my opinion she was giving me, a hard time (the white customer and she was Hispanic.) I said to her if I threw something at you that would be assault. Let's just do this: Stop the transaction and I Need to see the manager. I talked to the manager and the entire time the cashier was glaring at me like she was full of hate for nothing I did. I went on to tell the manager the cashier needed to be retrained. She interjected all the way from her register something inaudible. I told her she probably didn't want to work anyway. None of us want to work particularly, but work in something that doesn't require making everyone around you miserable! I don't have to shop there, but when I do I expect to be treated kind when spending money there. It was so upsetting to me I need to speak with the people in HQ.
